FAQ

Here are the questions I get asked most frequently - please have a look at these before making your enquiry.

I'm just a sole trader and do all the tasks here myself, so any time I can save answering calls and messages will mean more time I can spend working on your gear!

How much will it cost to fix my gear?

I cannot provide an estimate or quote until I've physically assessed your equipment. However, please find some pricing guides on the respective guitar and amplifier pages to get an indication of what might be involved. Repairs over $500 will require a 50% upfront deposit to cover parts expenses before commencing.

How long will it take to fix my gear?

tl;dr - due to current workload, please expect around 1 month turn-around time

Full - this is a tricky one. Sometimes, I can repair your item reasonably quickly, ie within 2 weeks. Often though, there is a queue of items to look at before I can get to yours and I can't determine how long they will take to repair, either. Additionally, most of the parts used in repairs come from overseas. On top of that, parts orders sometimes will be delayed unexpectedly.

I will contact you with a quote once the instrument or device has been assessed, and again with an invoice when it's ready to collect - please be patient with me, as a lot of turn around time factors aren't in my control, thanks!

How do I pay for my gear once it's repaired?

Once I've completed a repair for you, you'll be notified and an invoice will be sent to your email. The simplest way to pay will be from the email via bank transfer or PayID (card as well, plus surcharge). Otherwise, I also accept bank transfer/PayID, EFTPOS (surcharge applies) on collection - I cannot accept cash payments for repairs over $200
